Single Vehicle Collision with Injuries

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky.(April 30, 2017 at approximately 9:36 pm) – Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision that resulted in injuries. The collision occurred at the 1 mile marker northbound on the Pennyrile Parkway. Rickie B. Brown, 49, of Clarksville, Tennessee, was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the median. The vehicle then overturned while traveling across both southbound lanes. The vehicle then continued over a guard rail and down a steep embankment. The vehicle came to a final rest upright at the bottom of the embankment.

Mr. Brown was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Brown was transported via ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville for treatment of his injuries.

KSP was assisted on scene by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Hopkinsville Fire Department, and Christian County EMS.
