Cadiz Woman Facing Charges after Pursuit

Hopkinsville, KY(Christian County) – Trooper H. Carroll was on routine patrol when he observed a black passenger car traveling south at a high rate of speed on the Pennyrile Parkway; the black vehicle was initially observed at approximately the 20 mile marker. Trooper Carroll confirmed the vehicle was traveling 108 MPH in a marked 70 MPH zone. Upon turning on the speeding vehicle and attempting a traffic stop, the vehicle continued traveling south on the Pennyrile Parkway above 100 MPH.
Trooper Carroll initiated his emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the motorist, and the driver did not yield. The fleeing motorist eventually stopped at Exit 11 of the Pennyrile Parkway and the driver was taken into custody without further incident.
The driver was identified as Ms. Trescia Wilkerson, 44, of Cadiz, Kentucky. Wilkerson was charged with the following: Speeding 26 MPH or greater – Reckless driving – Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle) - Failure to/improper signal – Improper use of left lane-overtaking vehicle
Trooper Carroll was assisted on the scene by Christian County Sheriff’s Office and Hopkinsville Police Department.
