Kentucky State Police investigates injury collision on I-69

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) – On Monday, January 15, 2018, at approximately 3:04 P.M., Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle injury collision located on I-69 at the eighty-three mile marker.
Preliminary investigation revealed Heidi Wilson, 40 years old of Benton, KY, was operating a GMC box truck with a trailer-in-tow on I-69. Ms. Wilson stated that she lost control of the vehicle, exiting the left southbound lane of travel, and crossing into the median. Ms. Wilson’s combination vehicle then crossed into the northbound lanes of travel, where the box truck overturned onto its right side. The box truck came to final rest on its right side facing south, blocking both northbound lanes of travel.
Ms. Wilson was transported by Caldwell County EMS to Caldwell County Medical Center for possible injuries sustained as a result of the collision. Ms. Wilson was wearing a seatbelt. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper First Class Ben Sawyer, who was assisted on scene by Caldwell County Fire Department, Caldwell County EMS, and Caldwell County Emergency Management.
