Drakesboro Man and Woman Facing Drug Charges

Drakesboro, KY (Muhlenberg County) – On Friday, February 9, 2018 at approximately 6:59 P.M., Trooper Curtis Crick observed a 2002 Ford Explorer with an obstructed windshield operating on 431 S in Drakesboro. Trooper Crick initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, and observed the operator of the vehicle, Joshua Martin, 35, of Drakesboro, KY, to appear under the influence.
While searching Martin’s vehicle, Trooper Crick discovered drug paraphernalia and two clear plastic bags containing a substance suspected to be methamphetamine or synthetic drugs.
Through the course of the traffic stop, Trooper Crick Determined a passenger in the vehicle, Katherine Croxton, 46, of Drakesboro, KY, was also under the influence. Ms. Croxton was in possession of drug paraphernalia and various pills.
Mr. Martin was admitted to Muhlenberg County Hospital and cited for the following offenses:
1.) Obstructed Vision and/or Windshield
2.) DUI 1st
3.) Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
4.) Drug Paraphernalia- Buy/Possess
5.) Possession of Synthetic Drugs 1st Offense
Ms. Croxton was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center and charged with the following:
1.) Possession of Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree- (Drug Unspecified)
2.) Drug Paraphernalia- Buy/Possess
3.) Public Intoxication- Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
