KSP Conducting Death Investigation in Crittenden County

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) – On Sunday February 18, 2018, at approximately 6:12 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 2 was requested by the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department to investigate a vehicle collision on Fords Ferry Road, approximately two miles north of Marion. Crittenden County Volunteer Fire Department located the vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet Impala, partially submerged in Crooked Creek with the passenger’s door open; however, no one was located inside.
Prior to the Kentucky State Police arriving on scene, the fire department located two deceased subjects approximately 300 yards downstream of the vehicle. The victims were identified as Douglas W. Keeling, 86, and Martha E. Keeling, 82, both of Marion, KY. Autopsies are scheduled for today at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville. Foul play is not suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
