Cold Case on George Ritchey

Kentucky State Police Request Help Resolving George Ritchey Murder
Occurred on August 10, 1985 on KY 53 3.9 Miles South Shelbyville, KY

On Saturday, August 10, 1985, George Ritchey was fatally struck on KY 53 3.9 miles South of Shelbyville as he was apparently sitting in the roadway in the southbound lane. Victim was struck on the right side of the head, presumably from a car or truck bumper. After impact the driver failed to stop and continued on southbound on Ky 53.

Post 12 Investigative Units are asking anyone with information regarding the murder of George Ritchey to contact: Investigations Lt. David Hay or Detective Sgt. David Decker or by phone at 1-800-222-5555.
