Cold Case on Marcus Moore & Kerry Witt

State Police Request Help Resolving the Murders of Marcus Moore and Kerry "Bud" Witt
Murders occurred between March 9, 1998 and the morning of March 10, 1998

Marcus Moore and Kerry "Bud" Witt were both shot once in the head and murdered while sitting at the kitchen table in Moore´s residence at 336 Jones Road Clay City, Ky. This is in Powell County, in the Morehead Post District.

Marcus Moore and Kerry "Bud" Witt were found deceased by some friends at the residence on Tuesday March 10, 1998 around 1044 hours. It was determined that Moore and Witt were both shot with the same handgun, which was determined to have been a 9mm. The murders occurred between sometime on March 9, 1998 and the morning of March 10, 1998.

It is believed, by examination of photographic evidence, that the perpetrator was probably someone who knew Moore and Witt and may have been sitting in the kitchen with them, having a conversation prior to the shootings.
