Missing Person Investigation
Date of News Release: 07/17/2005
Kentucky State Police (Post 12 Frankfort) is investigating a complaint of a missing person in area of the Stillwater Camp Ground. The camp ground is located near the Strohmeier Boat Ramp on the Kentucky River in northern Franklin County.
Matthew Ray Smith of Frankfort was last seen by acquaintances on Sunday, July 17, 2005 at 12:30 AM. Mr. Smith and acquaintances were boating on the Kentucky River 4 miles north of Frankfort, when Mr. Smith was seen jumping into the Kentucky river.
The missing person is described as a 39 year old white male, 6'0" in height and weighing 180 pounds.
