"You Drink & Drive. You Lose" Mobilization Enforcement actions in the Post 12 area

(Frankfort, KY) - The "You Drink & Drive. You Lose." mobilization began on August 19th and ran through September 5th. During this 18 day period, which includes the Sept. 5 Labor Day holiday, troopers were assigned to saturation road patrols, traffic safety checkpoints and coordinated efforts with local law enforcement agencies to target, arrest and prosecute impaired drivers.

Kentucky State Police Post 12 in Frankfort reports the following enforcement actions taken during the mobilization. Troopers working the Post 12 area issued a total of 900 citations, 315 speeding citations, 412 other traffic citations, 76 seat belt citations, 10 child restraint citations, 26 DUI arrest, 18 operating on suspended license citations, 9 reckless driving citations, 7 no insurance citations, 10 drug arrest, 6 other felony arrest, 11 wanted persons or fugitives apprehended and 1 stolen vehicle recovered.

Kentucky State Police setup and conducted 41 safety road checks with the help of other state law enforcement agencies, local Police departments and local Sheriff departments.

Post 12 Frankfort provides police coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, and Spencer and Woodford counties.
