Investigation Leads to Drug Seizures in Shelbyville, KY

Date of News Release: 10/17/2005

Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort, drug investigation leads to a seizure of 4 pounds of marijuana, 2 pounds of Methamphetamine, 25 grams of cocaine and 10 ecstasy pills. On Saturday, October 15, 2005, at approximately 6:00 pm Kentucky State Police investigation led them to El Casino Tropical Mexican Bar in Shelbyville, KY, were 25 grams of cocaine was confiscated. Additional investigation lead State Police to a garage in Louisville, Ky. where KSP canines helped in locating the other drugs.

Kentucky State Police have arrested Juan Vazquez Fraire, age 36 of Louisville, Ky., and charged him with Trafficking in Marijuana over 8 oz, other charges pending in Jefferson County. He was lodged in the Shelby County Jail. The drugs seized are valued at approximately $50,000.00. The investigation is on going.
