Criminal Arrest in McLean County, KY

Date of News Release: 05/27/2005

(Henderson, KY) - Donna Roberts, operating a 1984 GMC pickup truck, was observed operating the vehicle in a reckless manner on KY 2698 in Owensboro. Trooper Herron turned to make the traffic stop. Ms. Roberts then fled south out of the city. The pursuit continued onto several roadways in Daviess and Mclean county areas. Tire deflation devices were authorized and used successfully causing both front tires to fail. The driver pulled the vehicle off the roadway on KY 140 in Mclean County. Both the driver (Donna Roberts) and passenger (Joey Ray) fled on foot but were immediately apprehended.

Donna Roberts age 35 of Lewisport, KY was arrested and charged with DUI 1st - Aggravated, Fleeing and Evading 1st, Wanton Endangerment 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Speeding, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and was lodged in the Ohio County Jail.

Joey Ray age 25 of Owensboro, KY was arrested and charged with Fleeing and Evading 1st, Wanton Endangerment 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and was lodged in the Ohio County Jail.
