Criminal Arrest in Hancock County. KY

Date of News Release: 05/29/2005

(Henderson, KY.) - Trooper Brett Coomes responded to a call for assistance by a Hancock County Deputy who initiated a traffic stop after seeing a wanted subject in a vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle units smelled ether. In the search incident to the arrest, items used to manufacture methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were discovered. Another person with an outstanding warrant was located in an adjacent residence that occupants of the vehicle had just left.

All subjects were arrested without incident.

1. Billie Jo Martin age 49 of Hawesville, KY was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st, Methamphetamine and was lodged in Hancock County Jail.
2. Russell C. Wettstain age 48 of Lewisport, KY was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was lodged in Hancock County Jail.
3. Mark C. Noblett age 39 of Irvington, KY was arrested and lodged in the Hancock County Jail
