DUI Criminal Arrest in Daviess County, KY

Date of News Release: 07/07/2005

(Henderson, KY) - The Daviess County Sheriff's office gave the Kentucky State Police an observation in reference to a drunk driver that was headed westbound on HWY 60 East in the eastbound lane. Trooper Brenton Ford spotted vehicle on HWY 60 East in front of the Daviess County jail. Jeremy Kennemore, operating a 1989 Chevy pickup traveled at 35 MPH, not stopping for Trooper Ford. At 60 East & KY 144 Mr. Kennemore came to a red light & stopped. Trooper Ford then initiated a traffic stop. When Trooper Ford approached the vehicle the driver, Mr. Kennemore, sped off, traveling at speeds up to 95 MPH. Mr. Kennemore traveled from Daviess county into Hancock county & then back into Daviess county. The Hancock County Sheriff Office , Lewisport Police Department, Hawesville Police Department, a Hancock County Constable, & KSP Trooper Lonnie Bell assisted. Mr. Kennemore was stopped at the 4 mile marker on KY 2830 in Daviess county. Jeremy Kennemore was then apprehended and charged with Fleeing & Evading 1st, DUI 2nd- Aggravated circumstance, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd degree/1st offense (Drug Unspecified), No Seatbelt, No Insurance, License Plate Not Illuminated, Disregard of Stop Sign, Driving DUI Suspended 1st and lodged in the Daviess County Jail.
