Search for Hamilton Continues

Date of News Release: 09/01/2005

(Henderson, KY) - On August 29 through August 31, 2005, the Kentucky State Police, FBI and Area II Dive of Hopkins County continued the search operations for the remains of Carole Hamilton (missing since August of 2003). The search area has been expanded from the original location and is extended further down the Green River in McLean County. On September 1, 2005, the search was postponed due to the rapidly rising water, strong currents and large amounts of floating debris in the River which posed a danger to the divers' safety. The search is expected to continue once river conditions improve.
