KSP Investigating a Fire at Riverside Downs Horse Park

Date of News Release: 11/02/2005

(Henderson, KY) - The Kentucky State Police are investigation a fire at Riverside Downs Horse Park in Henderson County. The fire was reported during the night and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. The fire was extinguished after daylight. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. At this time, the fire is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and the Kentucky State Fire Marshall Office. The fire originated in a building next to the grand stands and spread to other areas on the property. It appears that materials inside of this building were ignited. There was no electricity to this building and the cause appears to be arson. If you have any information about this fire please contact the Kentucky State Police at 1-270-826-3312.
