Armed Robbery Arrest in Laurel County
Date of News Release: 09/06/2008
(London, KY) - On Saturday, September 06, 2008, at approximately 1:00 AM EDT the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London was notified by the Laurel County Sheriff's Office that they had a suspect in custody in reference to an Armed Robbery at the Plaza Drug Store on US 25 in Laurel, KY.
KSP Detective Mark Allen responded and arrested Shasta L. Vaughn, 20, of London charging her with one (1) count of Robbery 1ST Degree.
Vaughn was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Detective Mark Allen is the lead investigator into the incident and was assisted by officers from the Kentucky State Police, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office and the London City Police.

Date of News Release: 09/05/2008
(London, KY) - On Friday, September 05, 2008, at 5:24 PM EDT the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London received a report of an Armed Robbery at the Plaza Drug Store on US 25 in Laurel, KY.
Upon arrival KSP Detective Mark Allen determined that a white female had entered the business and requested assistance from an employee. As the employee was offering assistance the female uncovered a firearm in her waistband and demanded drugs.
The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
The suspect is described as a white heavyset female wearing a gray tee shirt, blue jeans, blue ball cap and white tennis shoes.

Detective Mark Allen is the lead investigator into the incident and was assisted by officers from the Kentucky State Police, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office and the London City Police.
