Franklin County Burglary 3rd/Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $300.00 Arrest

(Frankfort, KY) - On Monday, January 7, 2008 at 9:42 AM the Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort received a burglary complaint from the Frankfort Self Storage Center. Trooper Chris Masters responded to the Self Storage Center located 1015 Leestown Rd, Frankfort KY.

Taken during the burglary were state vending machine keys. The investigation lead troopers to a state building on 100 Far Oaks Drive where they identified the suspect, Shawn L. Long (age 32), who is a former state employee.

State troopers located Shawn L. Long at his Frankfort residence were they arrested him. Troopers recovered the stolen keys and $502.00 in cash.

At 2:22 PM Shawn L. Long was arrested and lodged in the Franklin Regional Jail. Shawn has been charge with Burglary 3rd/Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $300.00. The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
