Franklin County Fatal-Murder Investigation

Date of News Release: 01/24/2008

(Frankfort, KY) - Paul George Neto was operating a tractor and trailer southbound on US-421. Leslye M. Robertson was northbound on US-421. Mr. Neto's Semi Tractor Trailer crossed the center line and struck Ms. Robertson's vehicle head on. Both vehicles left the northbound side of the roadway striking several tree and utility poles.

Leslye M. Robertson, age 41 of Frankfort was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner. Paul George Neto, age 46 of Decatur, AL was arrested and charged with Murder, Operating Motor Vehicle Subject Impaired Alcohol/Drugs 1st Offence, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Control Substance 1st degree Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Neto is lodged in the Franklin County Detention Center. Additional charges at the jail are Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Promoting Contraband 2nd Degree.

US 421 s in Franklin County has now re-opened both ways. Crews will have to close the road again later this date (1/24/08) to remove the trailer. We will update further when this happens.
