65 Pounds of Processed Marijuana Seized in Shelby County

Date of News Release: 04/18/2008

(Frankfort, KY) - Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort drug investigation leads to 65 pounds of marijuana seized and three arrests. On Thursday, April 17, 2008 Kentucky State Police Special Operations, K.S.P Canine Section and Post 12 Troopers conducted a controlled delivery of 65 pounds of marijuana in Shelby County. The delivery was made in the 10000 block of Shelbyville Road at the Pleasant View Horse Farm.

Three hispanic males where arrested Geronimo Cardenas, age 28, Octavio Salazar, age 23 and Jorge Salazar, age 34 all living in Shelbyville KY. The suspects have been charged with Trafficking Marijuana over Five Pounds and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Suspects were lodged in the Shelby County Jail.
