Felony Arrest in Carter County

Date of News Release: 02/13/2008

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland have charged Robert Drown on felony assault charges stemming from a 12-26-07 incident at the Carter County Detention Center. Drown was charged after the Carter County Grand Jury returned indictments against him. This assault charge stems from a physical altercation between another inmate (Donnie Elliott) and Drown. Elliott suffered severe injury to his face and had to undergo surgery for his injuries.

Drown remains lodged in the Carter Count Detention Center.

Detective Jim Goble is investigating the case.
