Drug Round-Up in KSP Post 14

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland conducted a "Drug Round-up" over a two month period after an extensive long-term investigation into illegal drug activity in the four county region of Post 14 which encompasses Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence Counties. Over the last six months, authorities from KSP at Post 14 have worked conducted investigations into suspected illegal drug trafficking in this area and have subsequently received indictments for various charges stemming from this lengthy investigation. Troopers began the arrests mid- January and continued through early March 2008.

1. Margaret Maynard DOB: 04/25/1964. 2 counts of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st. Greenup County.
2. Larry Crum DOB: 08/09/1959. 2 counts of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st. Greenup County.
3. Denise Sparks DOB: 01/02/1968. 1 count of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st. Greenup County.
4. Nancy Woods DOB: 09/15/1951. 1 count of Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st / 1 count of Trafficking Controlled Substance 3rd / Persistent Felony Offender 1st Greenup County.
5. Mamie Hatfield DOB: 07/10/1951 1 count of Trafficking Controlled Substance 3rd. Greenup County
6. Randy Gordon Jr DOB: 01/04/1983. 1 count of Manufacturing Methamphetamine Greenup County
7. Ryan Bailey DOB: 11/25/1984. 1 count of Manufacturing Methamphetamine Greenup County
8. Charlotte Hall DOB: 03/07/1956. 8 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. Greenup County
9. Jeff Fryer DOB: 12/03/1963. 15 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud/ Persistent Felony Offender 1st. Greenup County
10. Jeffery Fryer DOB: 01/31/1977. 1 count Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st. Carter County
11. Jody Harper DOB: 09/04/1972. 10 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. Carter County
12. Gary Sloas DOB: 02/16/1966. 14 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. Carter County
13. Larry Joe Hall DOB: 02/24/1962. 26 counts Attempting to obtain controlled substance by fraud / Persistent Felony Offender 1st. Carter County
14. Donald Young DOB: 12/22/1964. 6 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. Carter County
15. John Evans DOB: 04/26/1926. 10 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. Carter County
16. Ronnie Hicks DOB: 02/22/1956. 2 counts Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st / Possession Controlled Substance 3rd Degree / Prescription not in proper container. Boyd County
17. Clay Adkins DOB: 07/19/1960. 1 count Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st / Boyd County
18. Angela Waller DOB: 01/05/1969. 2 counts Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st / Boyd County

 



19. Clifford Waller Sr. DOB: 09/01/1961. 4 counts Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st / Boyd County
20. Clifford Waller Jr. DOB: 11/03/1983. 3 counts Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st / Boyd County
21. Jeffrey Reed DOB: 01/23/1966. 29 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. / Boyd County
22. Frank Browning DOB: 10/25/1954. 13 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. / Boyd County
23. James Harless DOB: 10/31/1966. 3 counts Obtaining controlled substance by fraud. / Lawrence County

There were a total of 30 indictments with 174 drug-related charges and 23 individuals have been arrested thus far.

There are additional suspects and their whereabouts are being sought by the Kentucky State Police.
