One Killed & One Injured on KY 1 in Carter County Collision

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland is investigating a two-car fatal collision that occurred on KY 1 approximately four miles north of Grayson just inside Carter County. Linda Everman was traveling South on KY 1. Jason Wade was traveling North on KY 1. Linda Everman&39;s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Jason Wade's vehicle head-on. Linda Everman had to be extricated by the Grayson Fire Department but was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carter County Deputy Coroner.

Jason Wade was transported to Kings Daughter Medical center where he was treated and released for minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the collision.

An accident Reconstructionist from Post 8 Morehead also assisted.
