Theft Investigation in Boyd County

Date of News Release: 04/25/2008

(Ashland, KY) - The Kentucky State Police in Ashland is currently investigating a theft that occurred at the residence of Bill Yates of Rockhouse Road in Boyd County. Sometime in the early morning hours of 4-24-08, someone entered Yates' vehicle, which was parked under his carport, and stole approximately 2200 dollars in assorted items. These items included numerous Gospel CD's, portable DVD players and children's DVD movies. Some of these items were recovered in the Donta Road area of Ironville, KY.

The Kentucky State Police is asking the public's help in locating the suspect(s) responsible for this theft. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Kentucky State Police at 606-928-6421 or toll free 1-877-416-1208. Callers may remain anonymous.

Trooper Elliott Gollihue is investigating the incident.
