Missing Persons / Runaway Investigation

(Ashland, KY) - Kentucky State Police in Ashland is currently investigating the disappearance of a 15-year-old female Louisa resident. Cindy Chaffins of 133 Noah's Landing in Louisa, KY reported her daughter missing on Saturday 7-12-08. Candace Pennington, age 15, was last seen at a neighbors residence around 1130 PM on the evening of the 11th. She was last seen wearing dark colored boxer shorts and a tan colored tank top. According to Chaffins, Pennington has a history of being a runaway but has never stayed away more than one day.
After Kentucky State Police authorities learned of the disappearance, the 15-year-old female was entered into NCIC as a missing juvenile.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Candace Pennington is asked to call the Kentucky State police at 1-877-416-1208 or 606-928-6421.
Trooper Mike Murriel is the investigating officer.
