Injury Collision on KY 70 in Casey County

Date of News Release: 07/26/2008

(Columbia, KY) - Jacob Miller age 22 of Liberty, KY was traveling east on KY 70. Thomas Hayes age 41 of Liberty, KY was traveling west on KY 70.

Mr. Hayes' vehicle left the road to avoid collision with Mr. Miller's vehicle.. Mr. Miller's vehicle struck Mr. Hayes' vehicle in the side then continued on to strike Fred Ruiz's vehicle head on. Alcohol use suspected by Jacob Miller.

Jacob Miller was flown to UK Hospital. Thomas Hayes was not injured in the collision. Fred Ruiz and his passengers (Andita Ruiz, Adrianna Ruiz & Carrie Lutrell) were all flown to UK Hospital.
