Injury Collision & Arrest on KY 80 in Adair County

Date of News Release: 07/26/2008

(Columbia, KY) - James E. Wright age 39 of Russell Springs, KY was traveling east on KY 80 in a reckless manor. Norma D. Turner age 44 of Columbia, KY was stopped in traffic attempting to turn onto Clear Springs Road. Mr. Wright's vehicle struck Ms. Turner's vehicle in the rear.

Mr. Wright was not belted and was not injured in the collision. Mr. Wright was cited for DUI and numerous other traffic offenses. Mr. Wright's passenger, Shaun A. Johnson age 30 was not belted and was not injured. Norma D. Turner was wearing a seatbelt and was admitted to West Lake Regional Hospital.
