Fatal Accident on St. Mary's Road in Marion County

Date of News Release: 08/23/2008

(Columbia, KY) - An accident occurred at 2:30 PM on St. Mary's Road, 2 miles north of Lebanon when a vehicle operated by 28-year-old Jeremy Gootee was backing out of a private drive and struck 3 year old Landon Gootee who had wandered behind the vehicle. The 3 year old was taken to Spring View Hospital in Lebanon where he was pronounced deceased.
