Update to the Death Investigation in Adair County
Date of News Release: 09/22/2008
(Columbia, KY) - Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Heather M. Judd died as a result of a closed head injury. The State Medical Examiner's office indicate that her injuries are consistent with an accidental fall and not foul play. The case remains under investigation.

(Columbia, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 15 in Columbia have started a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 22-year-old. On Thursday 09/18/2008 Adair County EMS personnel responded to a residence in Adair County in reference to an unresponsive person who was identified as Ms. Heather M. Judd. EMS transported Ms. Judd to Westlake Regional Hospital where Deputy Coroner Todd Akin later pronounced her deceased.
An autopsy was scheduled and a cause of death is pending. State Police Detective B.J. Burton is investigating.
