Update to the Juvenile Injury Accident in Green County

(Columbia, KY) - The 3-year-old child has returned home. The Kentucky State Police and the office of Protection and Permanency have looked into the incident and no criminal charges will be filed.

Date of News Release: 09/17/2008
(Columbia, KY) - On 09/16/2008 at approximately 6:02 PM CST, KSP responded to a residence at Bishop Lane in Green County. A 5-year-old female and her 3-year-old sister were playing outside. The 5-year-old climbed into her mother's vehicle (a 1989 Oldsmobile) knocking the vehicle out of gear. The vehicle rolled into the 3-year-old. The 3-year-old was air lifted from the scene and taken to Kosair's Children's Hospital in Louisville where she is in critical but stable condition with a closed head injury. Names of the children are not being released per the family's request. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
