Injury Hit and Run Collision on Wing Avenue in Daviess County

(Henderson, KY) - Detective Yerington was travelling eastbound on East 4th Street in an unmarked cruiser and slowed to turn right onto Wing Ave. As Det. Yerington was turning onto Wing Ave. a 1993 Buick Century operated by an unknown driver struck Yerington's car from the rear causing the vehicle to sideswipe a 1994 maroon Eagle Vision operated by Brittany Thomas. Ms. Thomas was stopped on Wing Ave. attempting to pull onto 4th St. The white Buick operated by the unknown subject fled the scene. According to witnesses the suspect vehicle was located in the 2000 block of Hughes St. Witnesses stated that a male and female ran from the car. The white Buick did have front end damage and Det. Yerington identified it as the vehicle that struck her cruiser. Markke Johnson a passenger in Ms. Thomas's vehicle was taken by Yellow Ambulance to Owenboro Mercy Health System to be treated for a minor injury. The investigation is ongoing.
