Fatal Collision on U.S. 231 in Ohio County

Date of News Release: 02/23/2008

(Henderson, KY) - Patricia A. Morris, operating a 1995 Chrysler, was stopped at the stop sign on Silver Road at the intersection of U.S. 231. Roger Blacklock, operating a 1998 Dodge Pickup truck, was travelling southbound on U.S. 231. Ms. Morris pulled her vehicle onto U.S. 231 northbound into the path of Mr. Blacklocks' vehicle, which then struck her in the drivers' side door. Ohio County Coroner, Jerry Bevil, pronounced Patricia A. Morris dead at the scene. Mr. Blacklock received minor injuries but refused medical treatment. No charges have been filed at this time and the Kentucky State Police is continuing the investigation.
