Marijuana Eradication in the Post One District

Date of News Release: 07/25/2008

(Hickory, KY) During the week of July 21^st through July 25^th, Kentucky State Police, Post One, conducted marijuana eradication throughout the entire post district. A total 432 marijuana plants were seized during the five day eradication period. The following is a summary of marijuana seizures by county.

• Livingston County- 202 marijuana plants seized
• Lyon County- 140 marijuana plants seized
• Graves County- 69 marijuana plants seized
• Carlisle County- 3 marijuana plants seized
• Calloway County- 18 marijuana plants seized

Throughout the week of marijuana eradication, three individuals were arrested for their role in the cultivation of marijuana. The following is a list of the individuals who were arrested and their charges.

• James K. Hodge, 47 of Livingston County, charged with cultivating marijuana less than (5) plants, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia 1st offense. Hodge was lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
• Kimberly A. Calabrese, 46 of Livingston County, charged with complicity to cultivating marijuana (5) or more plants, possession of drug paraphernalia 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, receiving stolen property, and possession of marijuana. Calabrese was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
• Craig A. Tabers, 31 of Calloway County, charged with cultivating marijuana (5) or more plants. Tabers was lodged in the Calloway County Jail.

Throughout the summer, a total of (637) marijuana plants have been seized throughout the Post One district. The investigation into the illegal cultivation of marijuana is continuing by Post One investigators and further arrests are pending. All tips and information can be reported and the caller remains anonymous.
