Injury Collision on I-24 in Trigg County

Date of News Release: 07/26/2008

(Hickory, KY) - On July 7, 2008 at 2:07 A.M., Post 1 received a call of an overturned semi in the median at the 63 Mile Marker on Interstate 24. Upon arrival, Trooper Jon Pagan discovered a tractor trailer loaded with cheese sticks on its side in the median. The driver, Christopher Curtiss of Manchester, TN, advised that he had over corrected after swerving to miss a deer. The passenger of the semi, Emilio C. Fernandez of Old Hickory, TN, and the driver, Mr. Curtiss, were both transported by Trigg County EMS to Trigg County Hospital where they were treated and released. Trooper Pagan was assisted on the scene by Trooper Trey Green, Trooper First Class Chris Anderson, Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement, Kentucky State Highway Department, Kentucky State Health Department, Trigg County EMS, Trigg County Rescue, and the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Pagan.
