"Farley Rapist" in Custody

(Hickory, KY) - An ongoing investigation being conducted by the McCracken County Sheriff's Department and the Kentucky State Police has led to the arrest of 31 year old William H. Moreland of Paducah. Mr. Moreland's charges stem from a string of sexual assaults from 2001 to 2004. After a lengthy investigation, evidence surfaced linking Mr. Moreland to the sexual assaults in the Farley area of McCracken County. Mr.Moreland was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail and was charged with the following: 3 counts of Rape 1st degree, 3 counts of Burglary 1st dergree, 3 counts of Sodomy 1st degree, 3 counts of Kidnapping, 3 counts of Intimidating a Participant in a legal process, 2 counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence, and 2 counts of Assault 4th degree. The investigation is continuing by both agencies and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the McCracken County Sheriff's Department or the Kentucky State Police.
