Injury Collision on KY 58 in Graves County
Date of News Release: 08/04/2008
(Pryorsburg, KY) One woman was injured after a single vehicle collision on KY 58 in Graves County. At approximately 11:30 AM, Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a vehicle overturned on KY 58 near the community of Pryorsburg. An investigation revealed that Keri Cook, 17 of Mayfield, was operating a 2004 Dodge Neon when several deer crossed in front of her vehicle. Cook swerved to miss the animals causing the vehicle to drop off of the left side of the roadway. Cook’s vehicle struck a tree stump which caused the vehicle to overturn. Cook suffered multiple injuries in the collision and was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. Christopher Williams, a passenger in the vehicle, was not injured in the collision. Mayfield/Graves County EMS and Fire assisted at the scene. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Eric Fields with KSP.
