Injury Collision on US 62 in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 10/14/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - David Butler was pulling a double axle trailer, loaded with oak logs, traveling West bound on US62. Vehicle was coming out of a curve with a down hill grade, when the trailer began to bounce from side to side, causing the vehicle to swerve off the right shoulder. Mr. Butler attempted to bring the vehicle back on to the roadway and over corrected, causing the vehicle to cross over the East bound lane. The vehicle came to rest in a culvert, causing very minor damage to the vehicle. Thelma Bulter (a passenger) received minor injury and was given first aid on the scene by EMT, John Luck. Thelma Butler declined to be transported to RMC.
