DUI Injury Crash on KY 81 in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 10/29/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - Darryl Moore was operating a 2004 Ford Mustang. He was attempting to turn onto Main Street from a parking lot. Wendella Flener was operating a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette southbound on Main Street. As Mr. Moore was exiting the parking lot, he lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle struck the rear, driver's side door of Ms. Flener's vehicle. Mr. Moore's Mustang continued northbound and crossed the southbound lane of travel. It then exited the roadway and struck a house. Ms. Flener was transported by a private vehicle to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Mr. Moore was not injured. Mr. Moore was arrested and charged with the Operating On DUI Suspended License 1st Offense (Aggravated), Possession of a Suspended/Revoked Operator's License, No Insurance & Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change. He was lodged into the Muhlenberg County Detention Center
