Injury Collision on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 11/02/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - Stephen L. Hughes was traveling westbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway when the driver's side tires of his vehicle dropped off of the left shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Hughes then entered the median, overcorrected, crossed both westbound lanes and exited the westbound shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Hughes then entered a ditch, struck the opposing embankment and overturned coming to final rest upside down on the westbound shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Hughes was flown from the scene to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment to his injuries.
