Injury Collision on KY 973 in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 11/06/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - Kelly Winn was operating a 2001 Ford Explorer eastbound on KY 973 in Rosewood. As she rounded a curve, the vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. Ms. Winn overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle exited off the left shoulder of the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle overturned several times coming to rest off the roadway on its passenger side. Kelly Winn was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported. Both Kelly and Heather Winn were wearing seatbelts. Haley Lear was in a child restraint.
