Injury Collision on US 431 in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 11/14/2008

(Madisonville, KY) - Stig Hunstiger was operating a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on US 431. He was slowing to make a left turn onto Cleaton Road. Robert Knapp was operating a 1973 Chevrolet Caprice eastbound on Cleaton Road. It appears Mr. Knapp disregarded the stop sign and proceeded onto US 431. Mr. Knapp's vehicle struck Mr. Hunstiger's vehicle as he was attempting to make his turn. Mr. Hunstiger was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Mr. Knapp was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
