Pursuit & Arrest in Barren County

Date of News Release: 06/25/2008

(Bowling Green) - On June 25 2008 at approximately 10:20 a.m. the Bowling Green Police Department initiated a pursuit of a stolen vehicle at Woodford Street and Clay Street in the city limits of Bowling Green. The driver of the stolen vehicle, 21 year old Redjo Osmanovic, struck a BGPD cruiser and refused to stop. KSP assistance was requested by Bowling Green Police Department. KSP units initiated a pursuit of the vehicle as it left the city limits of Bowling Green and ramped onto Interstate 65 north at exit 28. The stolen vehicle exited I-65 and traveled into the city limits of Cave City on KY90E. The vehicle then turned into a private parking lot outside of the Cave City limits. The suspect was apprehended without incident after his vehicle was disabled and he attempted to flee on foot. Mr. Osmanovic was lodged in the Warren County Jail for Receiving Stolen Property, Fleeing and Evading 1st, Wanton Endangerment 1st, and Several Traffic Charges. More charges are possibly forthcoming.
