News Release

Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree Arrest in Hart County

Date of News Release: 07/05/2008

(Bowling Green) - On 07-04-2008 Trooper Daniel White with the Kentucky State Police observed a motorcycle driving in a reckless manner in Hart County. The driver failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. The operator of the motorcycle, Bryant Howard, reached speeds over 100 mph on 31-W before turning onto Bunnell Crossing Road. The pursuit continued on Bunnell Crossing until the driver couldn't make a curve and lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle wrecked, and the driver then fled on foot to a nearby residence where he was apprehended. Mr. Howard was charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st degree, Flee/Evading Police 2nd degree(motor vehicle), Flee/Evading Police 2nd degree(on foot), Operating on Suspended License, Speeding 26 mph or >, Reckless Driving, Improper Passing, and Failure to Signal. Mr. Howard also had 8 outstanding warrants through Warren County and 4 outstanding warrants through Taylor County. Mr. Howard was transported to Caverna Hospital for minor injuries from the collision and was then lodged in the Hart County Jail.
