Arrest Made in the Bank Robbery Investigation in Bourbon County

Date of News Release: 04/23/2008

(Dry Ridge, KY) - State Police, Dry Ridge, Post 6, have arrested two individuals in connection with the armed robbery of the Kentucky Bank in North Middletown, KY. State Police have arrested Steve Perry, age 28, of Cynthiana, and charged him with Robbery 1st Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Perry is believed to be the male who entered the bank. Also charged was Christopher Robertson, age 28, of Cynthiana. Robertson was charged with Complicity to Commit Robbery 1st Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. It is believed that Robertson was waiting in the Honda Accord near the bank. Both men were lodged in the Bourbon County Jail. The 1992 Honda Accord bearing Kentucky Registration 513-CDJ was registered to North Broadway Auto Sales of Lexington, but had been sold to Robertson in February. The vehicle was recovered yesterday in the Licking River, in the area of the Berry community.

Robbery 1st degree and Complicity to Commit Robbery 1st Degree are both class B felonies, punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison. Tampering with Physical Evidence is a class D felony punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison.

(Dry Ridge, KY) - Kentucky State Police, Post 6 Dry Ridge, is investigation an armed robbery that occurred this am at the North Middletown Branch of KY Bank in North Middletown (Bourbon County). At approximately 0930hrs this morning a lone white male entered the bank and brandished a silver handgun demanding money. The suspect left the bank of foot and it is believed he got into a waiting vehicle and left the area in an unknown direction of travel. Kentucky State Police are currently looking for a 1992 Honda Accord bearing KY Tag 513CDJ in connection with this crime.
