Motor Vehicle Collision involving ATV in Pike County

(Pikeville, KY)- On May 5, 2008 at 7:57 PM EST Pikeville Post 9 received a call of a motor vehicle collision involving an ATV on Ridgeline Road in the Raccoon community of Pike County.

Preliminary investigation reveals that Brian Adams, 16 years of age, was operating a 2002 green Honda Rancher 350 ATV North on KY 3418 Ridgeline Road in the southbound lane when he met Clarence Harris, 44 years of age, traveling South. Adams then struck Harris' 1988 Toyota truck. Adams was ejected from the ATV.

Adams was transported from the scene by Med Flight Helicopter to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he is currently listed in stable conditions. Harris was not injured.

The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Danny Caudill.
