Arson Investigation in Wittensville, KY

Date of News Release: 05/10/2008

(Pikeville, KY)- At 05:11 A.M. Paintsville-Johnson County 911 received a report of an apartment fire on Combs Drive in the Wittensville area of Johnson County. Upon arrival, the fire department found two apartment buildings on fire. The fire departments were able to extinguish one of the fires leaving moderate damage to that building; however, the second building was a total loss. Both apartment buildings were occupied at the time of the fire but no injuries were reported. Fire Department personnel on scene requested the assistance of Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator. The fires are being investigated by KSP Arson Investigator Don Parker U/1809.
