Post 3 Crash Locations

Date of News Release: 02/1/2006

(Bowling Green, KY)-Each year the Kentucky State Police designate certain highways as "High Crash" locations throughout our eight county Post area. In these listed areas we will strictly enforce all traffic violations, in an effort to minimize the number of non-injury, serious injury accidents, and fatalities.

Troopers will work part of their shift in the crash zones with the instructions of a "Zero Tolerance" for Speeding, Driving Under the Influence, No Seatbelts, and No Child Restraint, violations. Listed below are a list of the Crash Zones for 2006.

Kentucky State Police-Bowling Green Post 2006 Crash Locations

Allen County

• US 231 2 to 9 mile marker
• KY 234 1 to 6 mile marker
• KY 100 0 to 11 mile marker

Barren County

• I-65 45 to 52 mile marker
• Natcher Parkway 18 to 35 mile marker
• KY 90 11 to 22 mile marker

Butler County

• Natcher Parkway 18 to 35 mile marker
• KY 70 16 to 30 mile marker
• US 231 0 to 9 mile marker

Edmonson County

• KY 728 1 to 11 mile marker
• KY 259 13 to 22 mile marker
• I-65 43 to 46 mile marker

Hart County

• I-65 55 to 72 mile marker
• US 31-E 1 to 18 mile marker
• US 31-W 13 to 22 mile marker

Logan County

• US 431 20 to 31 mile marker
• US 68-80 20 to 29 mile marker
• US 79 0 to 8 mile marker

Simpson County

• I-65 2 to 12 mile marker
• US 31-W 0 to 5 mile marker
• KY 100 13 to 19 mile marker
