Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Crash 

Williamsburg, Ky. (Nov. 28, 2023) – On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, The Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement responded to a fatal crash located on KY92 East in Whitley Co. Kentucky.

Upon arrival and through investigation officers learned that a 2004 Ford Pick-Up Truck was being operated by 52-year-old Linda Bedford of Pineville, Kentucky, and had crossed the centerline colliding with a 2015 Kenworth Tractor Trailer operated by 57-year-old Clyde Norman of Pioneer Tennessee.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors; Bedford was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Bedford was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Whitley Co. Coroner’s office. KY92 East was shut down for several hours while officers investigated the crash.

Assisted on the scene: CVE officers, Whitley Co. EMS, and Whitley Co. Coroners officer. CVE Officer Jason Freeman continues the investigation.
