Sandy Hook, Ky. (March 31, 2018) – On Saturday, March 31, 2018, Troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead executed a search warrant on Green Branch Road in the Isonville community of Elliott County.
During the execution of the search warrant, a large amount of Methamphetamine, Marijuana and other drugs were located and seized, as well as an undisclosed amount of cash. Anthony P. Welch, age 51 of Sandy Hook, Kentucky was arrested and charged with the following charges:
.Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st greater than 2 grams
.Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug
.Drug Paraphernalia—Deliver/Manufacture
.Drug Paraphernalia—Buy/Possess
.Trafficking in Marijuana Less than 8 ounces, 1st
.Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd—Drug Unspecified
.Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree, 1st offense
.Persistent Felony Offender II
Mr. Welch was lodged in the Rowan County Detention. Trooper Justin Reynolds is the case officer and other arrests are pending.
