Hopkinsville Police Officer Charged with Official Misconduct

 

Hopkinsville, KY (November 21, 2017) – A Hopkinsville Police Officer has been charged with Official Misconduct after an investigation by Kentucky State Police.

 In September, Kentucky State Police, Special Investigations Branch received a complaint from executives with the Hopkinsville Police Department. The complaint alleged that Daniel Gray, a patrol officer for Hopkinsville PD, had engaged in official misconduct with a Hopkinsville citizen while on duty. After a two month investigation, KSP detectives determined that there was probable cause for the arrest of Gray, a nine year veteran of Hopkinsville PD. On Monday, November 20th, an arrest warrant for 2 counts of 1st Degree Official Misconduct was issued for 34-year-old Gray. The warrants were served Monday evening by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office. Gray was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police, Special Investigations Branch.
