Kentucky State Police Announces Driver Testing Branch Closure
Frankfort, KY. (Feb. 10, 2021) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Driver Testing Branch announces the closure of the Bowman Field Driver Testing Branch in Louisville, which serves Jefferson County residents. The closure is due to a hazardous winter storm system that is impacting communities across the state.
KSP Captain Marshall Johnson wants to reassure citizens who have written permit and skills tests scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11 that their appointment will be automatically rescheduled. Applicants will not need to reschedule online.
“For the safety of the applicant, our examiners and the motoring public we do not test when the roads are unsafe,” said Johnson. “Individuals who have driver test appointments for tomorrow will be rescheduled for the following Thursday, Feb. 18, for the same time they were previously scheduled.”
“We anticipate additional driver testing branch closures as ice and snow are expected through the weekend and into next week. KSP is working with agency partners to provide updates as soon as they become available.”
KSP encourages citizens to check their website (kentuckystatepolice.org) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KentuckyStatePolice) for timely updates.
